    Fridge Problem.

This weekend my fridge has decided not to work on gas.

12v/240v both ok so not the fridge itself. The burner is lit and a good colour, and the flue is clean but it won't cool. The only thing I can think of is the gas thermostat.

    Can anyone make other suggestions?

    Thanks.

If it is the thermostat, the gas flame will be out.

I think that the hot weather means that the extra heat that the gas has to provide to get enough cooling is overwhelming the venting. Try taking the vent grilles off and see how warm it is inside the top one: it shouldn't be much warmer than the outside air, but I bet it is!

Short of cutting bigger holes in the van and fitting larger grilles, the most effective thing you can do is fit fans to aid cooling behind the top grille.

that's about it i reckon , everything is ok but the efficiency needs to improve. maybe a mini awning a foot above the flue outlet to give shade, plus the fans , check the fridge is level of course !

I've got some good advice for Dometic !
The best thing they could do is stop making the Fooking things as they don't work.

Is the gas flame as tall as it should be ?

If other gas appliances are working correctly then is the burner jet partly blocked so flame not large enough ?
