    Spare keys

I have just bought a 58 plate transit for a run around ( not a MH), and it only came with one key which does the central locking/ unlock.
My question is approx how much is a key as a spare and can it be just a standard key for locking.
Not sure if it would affect the immobilizer.

You just need a screwdriver for the door lock

If this is the key for the original Tibbe lock fitted by Ford, are you aware of the serious security issues with Mark.7 Transits?
You really need to replace the door lock with something more secure and also take action re the OBD port. See Transit based motorhomes being stolen.

Not sure how much for a transit key Mike.

But assuming prices are similar, I got quoted about 80 for a spare key for my Renault Master.
Thanks rockape thanked for this post
