I have an Aguri Sat Nav device, how do I enter a map reference code, I never get it right, so what am I doing wrong ? Help .
There are numerous different ways of putting co-ordinates in depending on what your sat nav expects. As long as it is in the same format you should be Ok but first you have to find out what format its expecting. This is where the book come in
degrees minutes seconds : 40° 26′ 46″ N 79° 58′ 56″ W.
degrees decimal minutes: 40° 26.767′ N 79° 58.933′ W.
decimal degrees: 40.446° N 79.982° W.
E and W also make a difference to where you are
You also get
degrees minutes seconds : N40° 26′ 46″ W79° 58′ 56″
degrees decimal minutes: N40° 26.767′ W79° 58.933′
decimal degrees: N40.446° W79.982°

Its an Aguri Motorhome & Caravan RV720 DVR device, I am still in the dark, so need an easy way to do this.
The manual at http://aguriworld.co.uk/UserManuals/....0-English.pdf has instructions on page 29, but these are lacking in detail and I can see no accompanying images to assist.
The manual for AGR520 and AGR700 series at https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rc...Y6b5oTmG8in7IM has a bit more information, which may help you:
"Route by coordinate
To navigate to a destination using a coordinate press the middle of the screen to access the “Navigate” menu. Scroll until you see the “Route by coordinate” icon and press it once.
Enter the coordinate using the key pad and then press “OK”.
There are three different formats you can use when entering the coordinate:
Degrees, Minutes and seconds (DD0,MM`SS.s”)
Degrees, Minutes (DD0,MM.mmm`)
Decimal Degrees (DD.dddddo)
User note. When entering the Longitude you must ignore the minus (-) symbol. The degree symbol must be used for this function to work.
After pressing “OK” the location of the coordinates will be shown on the map. If they are correct, press the “tick” button and then follow the on screen instructions to calculate a route."
It is not clear to me what is meant by "DD0" or "DD.dddddo". I wonder whether the final character is meant to be a degree symbol (°) that you need to input. As the instructions state to ignore any minus sign in respect of the longitude, I assume that you are able to indicate "E" or "W" (the latter corresponding to a negative longitude).
Aguri online chat advises that you need to select the format. You go to 'Route by Coordinate', select the appropriate format and enter the details as necessary. If entering in decimal degrees format, just enter 2 digits, decimal point, five digits. If using any other format or still encountering problems, they suggest that you use their online chat yourself with the unit in front of you. Go to AGURI and the online chat should pop up.
Switch on , touch navigate. ,touch start , touch the map , touch bottom right icon route coordinates ,.select coordinates type . enter coordinates. You have to pair to phone for internet connection for traffic information .lots of aguri vidios on you tube ,very helpful .
