I'm based in Blackpool and wanted to pick up some spare engine oil for the motorhome, just in case I need to top it up, The chassis is a 2018 Fiat 2.3 150hp engine, Euro 6, it mentions SELENIA WR FORWARD, 0W-30.

Does anyone know an equivalent oil I could use and would it effect the warranty if I don't use the oil they recommend, non off the motorfactors around Blackpool stock this brand. Regards David

You can buy it online on amazon or ebay, the warranty is not so easy to answer, you could ask the garage you got it from.

If if was not in warranty I would buy a low ash diesel 0w30 oil.

Try Preston Motor Park on the docks opposite the cinema, Service Desk 01772 471466 Preston Motor Park: Abarth, Fiat & Volvo | Motorparks

They sell Fiat commercial so should have the correct oil, i`m fairly sure that`s where Marquis gets them done and it was probably PDI`d there as well

Many oils co do a 0/30 oil which will be ok,even a 5/30 or 5/40 from asda will do.
The zero nummber is that its thin for cold starts and the high number is when hot it thickens to give good oil pres, any oil is miles better than no oil.
    Castrol do a 0/30

Think Fiat always recommend Selenia ,they were part of its development.I would think as long as you use an oil that conforms to the stated ACEA standards, cant really see a problem.

Fiat no doubt have a vested interest in Selenia most manufacturers have an affinity to a brand .What is important is the correct viscosity is used which Trev has explained, note sometimes in colder countries different grades are specified for winter months , A good propriety brand like Castrol shouldn't give any warranty issues My mums from Asda might

The Warranty states OEM parts must be used and oil is a integral part. Unless they list alternatives I would think it likely to be rejected. If say a Fram oil filter were fitted even though it were the exact same spec as a OEM filter there is every possibility a warranty claim would be knocked back.
