    Thought I'd ask the experts.

What water hose adapters do I need to fill from the Wild camping POI fill up points.

Never done it yet, but just know that I wouldn't have the right one.
What do people in the know carry?

    Thank you all

Every different size screw fitting you can find that will fit from a tap to a hose pipe via a Hozelock connector.
Also a jubilee clip push on type
And carry a watering can and a very short hose (about one foot)
    Longer hose

Mostly, I use the watering can

Two watering cans as it's easier to walk and you only have to walk half the distance. The problem with hoses is you may have all the fittings but you cannot reach the tap. We stayed on a C&MC site the other week and the tap was a couple of hundred yards away from where we were. As for Wild Camping taps some of the taps are on beaches or a walk from a car park or a tap in a toilet.

When I need to walk to refill, I carry one watering can and one 10 litre container.
    Balances me out when walking

Don't expect to find a tap at some of these locations. They are not fill up points they are taps that have been found that don't appear to be locked. Some you have to ask and don't be surprised if they say NO. We found one in Norfolk supposed to be in the toilet but the toilet had changed and the tap was missing. The guy servicing the toilet block let me fill up using the tap behind the workings. There is also one in Bakewell that gets it's water from the local river. Just looks like a normal tap. They do have a drinking water tap about 4ft up a wall that is in a building thats locked at night and it has a sign on it Drinking Water. We did meet one Dutch guy in Spain who had filled his MH up using the tap on the beach. When he went to make a cup of tea it tasted of salt. The one in Buxton has to be the best. Just runs all the while and people just walk by and fill their water bottles up.

    I carry:

    Hoses

    25m cassette hose
    8m length garden hose

    Connectors

    1/2" & 3/4" Outdoor Tap Connector | Hozelock Ltd

1" Outdoor Tap Connector | Hozelock Ltd

Round Mixer Tap Connector | Hozelock Ltd

Mixer Tap Connector | Hozelock Ltd

https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/W4-Caravan-...waAsWMEALw_wcB into which you can push a short length of hose

Rather than use a watering can I have a couple of 8 litre containers that originally contained supermarket bought bottled water.
