Has anyone found a means of breaking down loo paper? I know it usually breaks down naturally in water but sometimes it clumps and stays that way.

I've read that a mix of baking powder and white vinegar unblocks domestic loos, but I'm cautious about using anything acidic in a cassette with its seals.

    Thanks in advance.

Don't put in the toilet, use a bag and dispose of it in the rubbish

    Agitation

I believe when they test paper for suitability for use in the drainage system they mix the water.

I find that after driving for a while everything is broken down in the cassette.

If staying on a site I empty regularly and giving a shake between rinses usually does the job

... for courses. We buy specific toilet rolls from MH supply shops. Breaks down very quickly, although it's probably a bit more expensive than 'regular' stuff, but we feel it's worth it knowing it's not clogging up any systems it goes in to.

I just use whatever ‘posh’ toilet roll I happen to have in the house, don’t waste your money on the supposed purpose made stuff that costs a fortune. Never had a problem with the toilet roll breaking down regardless of whether I have been driving or parked up for a few days.
I just give the cassette a good shake before emptying it, job done. I find the ‘jobbies’ are more of a problem, must be my diet lol !

I use a wee bucket for number 1s, which I empty discretely under a bush or on waste ground when nobody is looking. It's only a bit of piss and will sink into the soil, anything left on the surface will evaporate leaving no trace. I also have a pedal bin in the bathroom for paper, therefore only number twos go in the cassette, plus sufficient number 1s to keep the concoction relatively fluid to aid emptying. I have two cassettes, and could probably manage for 3-4 weeks before the s*** hits the fan (which might indicate a faulty SOG unit!)

I've a idea, why not use a stick blender to chop it all up, you'll end up with sheet soop, but it won't clog the pipes!!
