    New Year Rally Poll

CLICK HERE TO REMOVE THESE ADVERTS
To get a better understanding of the type of New Year rally that our members would like I am going to be running a few polls. Please read the information below carefully.

    1. This is an opinion poll, not a referendum.
    2. Vote for the choice that you would want.
    3. Only vote if you intend on attending a New year rally.
    4. Read the question fully before voting.
    5. Votes are private but can be seen by Admin.

    Question 1

Would you rather have one large UK rally or three smaller regional rallies (Scotland, Northern England, Wales and Southern England)?

Three smaller ones, New Year range for us is often reduced due to unpredictable weather

I like the regional part - hopefully it'll be closer. Took me 3 days to get to Glebe farm lol.

Size wise, smaller is OK - it might mean I won't be going home having not spoken to half the people there...

The New Year event is getting ever more popular, so it makes sense to have more than one to avoid it getting too enormous. It would also avoid people having to travel so far in potentially awful weather. I'm sure you'll do us proud whatever's decided.

I've been very lucky that previous NY meets have been reasonably close to home for me, but I think having more would be better as it is getting very popular and the numbers becoming unwieldy.

Even if it does mean that I'll probably have to travel further!

    New year rally

Regional sounds good to me, three times as many chances one will be in range or somewhere we can fit into our annual winter trip to Scotland.

Three makes more sense to me too for all the above reasons. Another thought I've had is that more meets takes the pressure off those organising a big event, so they have time to enjoy the meet as well.

There seems a strong suggestion for 3 smaller meets and the reasons given all seem logical.

My only concern which I hope is unfounded is when smaller groups are involved there is a possibility the community becomes fractured, cliquey, and a bit more tribal .

Probably not chosen the best words, but hopefully raised a valid point in the larger scale
