I have a brush cutter with steel blade that works on brambles, too big for me though

Paint the young shoots with SBK, that will kill it back to the roots. (But you won't get anymore blackberries)

Yes brambles are tough, SBK is very good, I have been using glyphosate and some of the brambles were as thick as my leg and 8 feet high.

I cut them down low and as they shoot I spray the leaves every couple of weeks during spring summer and autumn and I have got them beaten.

Absolutely horrible here, throwing it down and blowing a gale

Dropped wife off early doors at the hospital for the next stage of rebuilding here so now waiting for the call to go and pick her up

Last time she only went down to theatre at 1.00pm despite being in there at 07.30am having been on nil by mouth since midnight

She was supposed to be number 2 into theatre but they had problems with the first one

Got home last night but it was 8.00pm before i could pick her up, huge problems with the first operation of the day put everything behind schedule

Still feels rubbish as she does not take general anaesthetics well and it can take several days for her to get over it however the operation went well

Family staying well away ( under instruction ) until i give them the ok to visit, that way she gets all the peace and quiet she needs

    Horrible, dull and wet here
