Seems a few of us going through the mill just now, so good vibes and healing karma to everyone else from me xxx

D-Day today. First of the 6 chemo at 1:45 this morning for approx 2 hours.
First hour taken up with 2 lots of anti-sickness drugs given in advance before the chemo, then the chemo drugs themselves take about 20-30 minutes to administer.

Got all my stuff ready to take with me - rest of the fresh veg, fruit, fresh herb & spices drink I mixed up this morning.
It's going in a cool bag for my lunch - got to be way better for my system than hospital grub!

Also taking some frozen pieces of fresh kiwi fruit and melon. Chemo nurses advised that frozen fruits are good for your mouth to suck on during treatment as helps prevent soreness etc. Kiwi fruit & melon cos they are especially high in folate.

Got my Kindle from you lovely guys packed as well. Guess I'll be back home before I know it!

It is a weird morning here weather-wise. Quite a thick mist, cool and a bit of a breeze. Not what it should be doing in June. Bleugh!

PS - it's good to have a post from you Barrie, sending some good vibes your way and willing your pains to ease off a bit xx

This wind is very unseasonal, Trixie, but other than that the weather is very nice.
The birds are still singing their hearts out before first light and going on for a long time after, noisy devils! (not really, I love the dawn chorus)
Some of them must be on their 3rd or even 4th brood by now?

Neil is off having a hearing test at the docs this morning, have asked him to bring back some sushi from the supermarket for lunch.
Just fancied it for some reason... mmmm mmmmmm

Still feeling tired, which I'm totally not used to, but guess I'm not doing too bad overall considering.
Going for an MRI scan tonight at 6pm, another first for me, but I'm sure the experience will be interesting!

Hope you're all making the most of the good weather, enjoy while it lasts

Just arrived home from first physio class post knee replacement. The staff were well impressed with my recovery, 120 degree knee bend and the knee is more or less back to full strength. So donít have to attend anymore lessons, Iím well pleased.

You will find it very noisy, like being inside an automatic washing machine !

I fit in much better with my arms above my head.
