Interesting programmes... just to be controversial I found Orkney a little bit flat and rolling with a propensity for collecting scrap vehicles/tractors etc (well not everywhere BUT there was a lot to be seen)

Ring of Brodgar was impressive.... Skara Brae was a bit too commercialised with stainless steel handrails everywhere... though the beach below was fantastic... WW11 remains were superb and un commercialised and well worth visiting IF you are interested...ferry costs were also somewhat rude compared to other Islay.... especially as we were pretty much out of season...
I don't regret visiting BUT it'll probably be some time before I returned...
Horses for courses as ever BUT for me personally Islay and Skye were far far nicer.
plenty more to visit yet though.

I rather like rusting old machinery....rather better than all the neat sanitized countryside you see down here these days. Gone the days of the rusting corrugated iron sheds!

Always wanted an MGB GT when I was a kid, made do with a Spitfire. Later on, wanted a Landy.

    So yeah, soft porn indeed.

Its funny, I've never been a CAR enthusiast, Always preferred Vans. Just been more practical throughout my life & Business for me I guess. I could never see many Positives in having a NICE or EXPENSIVE car like some of my mates have. They are Frightened to take it anywhere, and always on their mind if left in a car park. Yeah would take the fun out of having a High end or Performance car for me.
I was going to say 'Give me a Tranni any day' But that sounds SO wrong on every level !

I had the Spitfire when I passed my test at 17, it was my dream to have a sports car with open top at that age, even though I later fitted an Ashleigh fastback hard top to it!

Unfortunately, with cars, boats, vans and campers, I can never get enough. As soon as I buy something, I spot something else which I would like!

If I were a rich man (cue song) I would have the drive littered with cars, motor bikes, quads, vans, campers and boats and my long suffering would have left many years back.

On a serious note, Some really nice Pixxes have been posted on this thread that wouldn't look out of place at a Gallery or Museum. Well done.
