First time I've tried to do a poll so forgive me if it doesn't work. Simply select a box if you would report it., but feel free to add comments in a post.

Following on from a conversation in another thread, I'm curious, I know I wouldn't think twice about reporting a known offender if I knew for a fact that the vehicle didn't appear to be legal on the roads.

Would you report a vehicle to the police, giving the location details etc. of a vehicle being driven on the road if you had some way of checking if it is ...
    Insured?
    Taxed?
    Mot'd?

Askmid covers insurance (albeit you are only supposed to use it for your own vehicle)

    ownvehicle.askmid.com

    Tax is DVLA

Check if a vehicle is taxed and has an MOT

    as is MOT..

MOT check expiry date | Vehicle Information

    Would I bother.....

    Probably not

I would shop them for any of the three mot being the least offence and possibly an oversight but no insurance hanging offence as far as I am concerned 😳

Yes, I know, but wouldn't it be nice if there was an app for phones that could check out numbers like anpr cameras can ... then either the user or the app could pass the info and location on to the local police.

I know I'd use it if there was one.

Yes without a moments hesitation no need to hide my thoughts on this subject

I`m also not afraid to say i shopped a relative for driving a vehicle with no MOT, Tax or Insurance.

They said it didn`t matter as much because they only drove it at night
