The problem with Glasgow having an emission zone is that the motorway runs right through the middle.

Youíre 100% on the money two motorways. M8. M74 and 77 all merge through Glasgow how they gonna get that sorted itís just another money making way af getting a stealth tax from motorists by telling them there polluting more easy politically correct target motorists. wonder if they considered taxing aircraft coming in and out of Glasgow o no they give them a reduction on passenger duty bonkers

The trouble with all these Emission Zones, is that they are all different and all require their own sticker.
If they truly want one Europe, there should be on sticker

The London LEZ does not have a sticker, roadside cameras read this numberplates and you get a love letter through the post.

Oh, I forgot that, but you do know what I was meaning. They are all different.
Why can't they get together and just have one criteria? Oh I know, they won't make money! although some are not expensive!

This was discussed at length on a thread here LEZ for Scotland
The main problem that I see is that unlike other LEZs the minimum standard for free entry is to be Euro 6, meaning that some vehicles only 3 years old will be affected.
Nearly 40 other areas of Scotland have been identified for future zones.

I'm afraid that kills it for me.

I think I will make the most of the next year or so then look closer to home. In fact, the way things are going, I can see motorhoming dying out before too long as it will become too prohibitive.
