    Hi rae, what i mean by affluent is the baby boom generation,guys now in their 50 60 bracket with no morgage kids gone and money to burn(some inheriting cash and buying what they fancy)I can say snap to moped,raleigh runabout then bantam d14 but i stopped was stopped from going the brittish route and went japanese .

    Irish riders go like that every day,esp dublin dodgems,then again ballyclare ulster rider 3 time world champ on track,never mind the dunlop lads.

    Not too keen on riding Pillion....

    We still ride two up but I dont care for pillion, we have too many very rapid friends who often 'forget' they have a pillion.
    Littlepony often used to fall asleep on pillion, even on the V Max

    All oldish bikers here theses days,that is the ones that are left,young folk buy cars these day,cheap hp with ins thrown in,not like my day.

    Had two rd400 then decided rg500 or slabby 750 bought 750 and kept it 24 years,it was worth very little when i sold it cos i was a bad lad.

    Iíve never rode a super bike but my big mate who was a professional racer conned me into getting on the back for a trip along M8 from paisley to Glasgow I told him ide missed the bank on a Friday afternoon about 3.30 and he offered a lift on the back we done it in about 8mins door to door I got a taxi back and heís still got my nails in his leather jacket Iíve woke up in a cold sweat thinking about it.
