LIDL ones have 3 year warranty - on that basis, one purchase will last a lifetime

You must save a lot of receipts. Try taking some things back after a couple of years.

That's the difference, the only time mine are not in use is when I am out on a bike. Otherwise they are plugged in an on.

With the receipt they will replace or refund.

Why not keep the receipt? The receipt for the one I bought yesterday I put in the box the charger came in and I will keep in - that way always handy if needed.

Another way to keep them is in one of those sticky-back "documents enclosed" envelopes and stick to unit or around power cable - never get lost that way

I have found Aldi and Lidl very good when I have returned things .I once returned a TV after a couple of years ,I had lost the receipt but still had the box I gave them the bar code they traced the sale and they repaird the TV .I was well impressed.

    price v quality

the chargers are o.k for the price,i read reviews of them and it seems[as usual] that it is/was the quality control at the manufacturing end that caused a lot of early problems,ie didnt work right straight away or very soon after, mine has gone on for a few years now.lidl is not top of the range stuff but [imo] is equal to halfords.

I bought two similar from Aldi several years ago to keep our car batteries charged over the winter while we were away in Spain and they ruined both batteries although I used them in accordance with the instructions. I now don't use them and have bought two dumb chargers that are time switched and work well.
Not saying don't buy them this was just my experience.

I have three Lidl ones on vehicles every winter. Never had a problem with them.
