    Collecting one on Sunday.
Going to strap it to the van and get some marital bliss on the Brittany cycle ways over Easter.
    Never ridden one before.
    What could possibly go wrong?

Wanted one for a while, but misses says no your having control of another thing (ie me steering where we go).

We have one and have had some of the most fun times ever on it. My wife can hardly ride a bike but loves the tandem. They are known as divorce bikes in the biking world.

They are a big scary at first, especially on the open road! You'll be fine on the Brittany cycle ways though I'd imagine.

    Best of luck, enjoy it.

Ideally you both need to be clipped in to the pedals to ride it properly. Let us know how you get on and ideall go pro footage of the first crash, oops I mean ride.

you cant call yourself a cyclist until you have crashed unceremoniously clipped in ! Clipless pedals though make the world of difference in my opinon , I use them on a road bike and have fitted them to the MTB that's a tad hairy at first

    Tandem is all about trust

Trust the person on the front they are steering, lean with the tandem, if fixed wheel pick up on the pedals at the right time or it's skinned shins, clipped in OMG remember to unclip when you stop at a junction or a pub, If in doubt just close your eye's and go with the flow.
