    Broken Kangoo & Internet - help! :(

Fed up, cheesed off, stymied, rock & a hard place....

So my old Kangoo has been supposedly getting fixed at local garage for 3 weeks now! It's a long story...

Latest in the saga was it needed a new fuse box. Neil phoned them today, only fuse box they can find for Kangoo Trekka is in Romania, for gawd's sake! They don't even know if it's right one they're waiting to hear back, even if it is won't get here until Thursday at the earliest.

This has gone beyond a joke, it's 3 weeks now I've been without a vehicle!!!

I'm now psyching myself up to call and give them a b*ll*cking. Am I being unreasonable?
What can I do? My car is with 'the auto electrician they use', wherever he might be! How do I go about getting it back or scrapping it? What if they want me to pay for anything else? They've already had £550 off me 2 weeks ago when it was supposed to be fixed! What are my rights? Has anybody been in a similar situation?

Problem has been compounded cos our Internet & landline has been dodgy for about a month, so haven't been able to usefully search for replacement vehicle or do anything else without it taking forever, and then you just give up cos when you think you've found something the internet connection goes down again for a few hours. Engineers came out yesterday & fixed one problem, same again today: one engineer came out and fixed another problem.

So far it finally seems to be sorted, but it's gone down briefly twice since this morning - not for very long so I'm hoping it's just a glitch!

It's OK using my mobile phone instead, but not wonderful, and then even when I've found something suitable how do I blummin' get to wherever to look at it?

Our old Autosleeper won't start either! It's mot was due end of April, but I SORNed it until I knew I had some money in hand in case there was any work needed to be done on it, so what should have been our backup mode of transport is also out of action too

I'm right at the end of my tether.

    Help!

I know nothing about cars but at the risk of saying something completely bonkers, I don't see why they can't wire in a different fuse box if it's just a separate box sitting in the engine cavity? Apart from via the wiring, do they actually attach to a specific bit of the engine? Got everything crossed for you Marie, while I sit here and wait for incoming derisory smirks

*note to self... must go and see if I can find a fuse box in my car and van*

Surely there must be plenty second hand fuse boxes available, as they arenít something that normally go wrong

Get a full refund from the garage.

    Get another vehicle.

A proper auto electrician could patch up a fuse box, they are clutching at straws, poke and hope.

Marie, I think it's time to get in touch with trading standards and find out where you stand re extra bills etc, Everything seems to be a bit wing and a prayer at the moment. I know you want to get it on the road again because of the money you've already paid out, but bearing in mind the wages you've lost cos you can't work, it might be better to bite the bullet and look for something else.I would also tell the garage not to order in anything till you've had a think, especially as they can't be sure it's the right part. I really hope you get something sorted soon.

Fuse box will be for that bread of car only,if its over 10 years then not worth two pence so spend no money on it,look for a replacement around 4/7 with less than 30.000 miles that some old fart/some one older than me has used to go to church in which has been garaged and treated like a baby, they are out there el cheepo.
I got this with 27000 miles on first mot and old eighty year old gave up driving, like new for £1.900 cash in hand no warrenty sold as to trade.

Hi, a decent auto electrician should be able to make up a fuse box or modify a different one to suit, the company I work for make all their own rail vehicle fuse and electrical boxes, fuse holders and relay holders are available from all auto electrical supply companies, sounds to me like they don't know what they're doing.
