How long has it been charging Annie?

I have had devices (not Ipad) which have discharged so completely they take quite some time on the charger before they even register as charging.

It's always worth letting a flat battery charge for an hour or two before it shows any sign of life.

I have a tablet that shuts down its battery charging circuit when the battery gets really flat. You have to charge it for 30 minutes with the power button held down: a hair bobble does the job prefectly! Then it will take a charge normally, but it needs another couple of hours charging before it will switch on.

It has a much bigger battery than an iPad, though, so it takes longer to charge (and longer to run down).

Mine has done that turned itself off I will try all this tomorrow and see if it works, I took mine into an Apple store yesterday and they said it would cost about 259 and then it might not be that! so before I fork out xxx pounds for a new one will try this!
