    Soon!!!
Hope you escape from hospital soon, and carry on recovering fast! We may have to ask Phil to start a forum for spare body parts needed or swaps! Members leaving bits in various hospitals!

Glad to know you are improving (you might have a relapse when you read my jokes ) just you take care and make sure Eileen gets some rest.

    thanks all !

it wasn't so much that i didn't think anyone would care ,that i wasn't going to mention my op, more that i didn't think it was particularly interesting . Phil persuaded me otherwise, and i was overwhelmed and very touched [ in an appropiate manner ,of course !] by your good wishes, they meant a lot .
the op was a success , of course, the whole experience was surreal, considering it was only 8 weeks previously that i went to the doc's with an annoying cough, and here i am ,after x-rays, ct scans, pet scans, biopsies, mri scans etc , minus one lung but also minus cancer and back home thanking you lot !
    true story bit
we're in the pre-op room ,Mrs B and i , i was putting on the silly stockings , bumflasher gown etc , and quietly wondering if i'd survive the op,when the nurse came in with my ID wristbands. as she put one on the handles of my bag , Eileen said - it just looks like we're going on a flight ! the nurse laughed and said - that's right , just think of this as the Departure Lounge !
Eileen immediately said -''that's not very appropriate '', and all 3 of burst out laughing
5 minutes later another nurse took the bag away , saying ' don't worry , i'll see you on the other side ''
    you couldn't make it up
    thanks again
