After reading the "critics" not so hot reviews of the new Queen film me and the missus went to the local cinema not expecting much. Thankfully the critics are as usual full of sh$$e because the film is excellent. They managed to cram in only a fraction of the wild life that Freddie had but did it perfectly. I really dont know what they expected to show,. The film did touch quiet a bit on his personal life, the happy and sad bits, the excess, the wild party side, the gay scene everything. Perhaps they wanted explicit group s/m sex scenes, who knows. The music was great the story very good overall. But...above all, the acting of Rami Malek was in my opinion of Oscar quality. He looked like Freddie, had all the mannerisms and the last 20 minutes when they copy the Band Aid set is utterly amazing. I can remember watching it way back then and knowing Id seen something special. Please ignore the critics and go. Its a top film. Perhaps if it was a film about Hungarian pumpkin growers in post soviet communism seen by approx. 1 person the critics would rave over the acting and storyline. Everyone I know whos seen it came out and loved every minute.

Agree that it was 10/10 and honestly do not know what film the paid critics were shown but it was not this one. Plenty of tear in the eye moments at both ends of the emotional scale. Donít know how many wildcamping members are Queen fans but Iím guessing there are a large number who may remember Queen at their peak. A proportion of the audience at the cinema certainly had a profile that grew up with Queen and there were several groups of mature girls. Much clapping at the end. Thank you to all behind the film for the time warp experience. Rami Malek possible Oscar contender?

Hi, as a big Queen fan I did have reservations about seeing the film.
I did have the same concerns about seeing them live with Adam Lambert but went and really enjoyed it.
You can never replace Freddy however Me and the Mrs thought it was really good.
Thanks for your film review and we will be going to see it shortly.

I also agree a great film enjoyed it so much that we are going to see it again. What do critics know they are like the eunuchs in the harem-seen it done, know how to do it,but not equipped to do it themselves!
Every film they have panned we have enjoyed them, may even buy the DVD when it comes out!

Freddie Mercury was 100 % showman so any actor portraying him needs a hide like an elephant and big balls..So glad to hear Rami pulled it off. Possibly 10 years or more since I went to the flicks. looking forward to this one on so many levels
