Shame Ford Europe don't have the same option as Ford US for the Transit ...

(other van makers should have this as well - but would be nice it it didn't look like such an afterthought though)

Is that a real model or a prototype?

I think many new vehicles (cars and vans) are getting even uglier. The Mini is a prime example, what an ugly little fecker it is now.

I agree. The Nissan Juke also springs to mind - I don't normally have such aversions to vehicles, but that one really is ugly to me!

The new Transits are as good as a car. We've just replaced a 2106 Transit Custom Limited with a facelift 2018 Custom 170 bhp Sport. Lot of kit as standard - partial leather heated seats, heated folding door mirrors and windscreen, Sync3 ice with Apple Play - great for using as a sat nav with google maps on phone, converts voice to text etc. Reversing camera. Has lane assist, reads traffic signs (including those 20mph ones outside schools), mirrors have an orange light which warns you that another vehicle is overtaking - goes red and gives an alarm if you start to pull out (Ford call it BLIS - was added as an option), sensors warn you if a vehicle or pedestrian is approaching as you reverse out of a parking space (also an option we got). Got the automatic box which you can use as a stand alone manual if you want, but the auto is excellent. Also included adaptive cruise control, so plenty of safety features which was our aim. It cruises at, well, silly speed if that's you're thing, and is probably quieter than most cars on the road. Good vans. Bob.

You now get the exact same warranties for rust as you do with any Ford car. Gone are the days of the brickies' Transits thank goodness. Now if you are talking about rust/welding the worst vehicles on the road, maybe ever, for flaking away in front of your eyes are Sprinters and Crafters.
