Young Andrew, are you at it again, bloomin' 'eck get some of that steamed pike, a squirt of Yorkshire relish and a little fragrant rice down your neck together with a glass of local dark mild, it'll either kill or cure ya !!!!!!

Seriously though Andy, Sue and I carry you in our prayers, you are a true friend and we love you dearly
Be the best that you can, without causing pain to others

    Absolute luxury!
For a change I am being serious, If you were to present the renal diet to a mainstream dietician, and unaware you were a renal patient they would play hell.

Potatoes I am supposed to boil twice changing the water to reduce the potassium and using the water to make a stock seriously frowned upon. Banana and avocado strictly off limit too so bananas and custard a distant memory

Pottasium and Phosphates for renal folk is the enemy so tomatoes coke ready made cakes dairy and cheese we have to be careful of.

The really high food I do steer clear of rice is ok and pasta and just eat everything else in moderation and use by blood test results as a barometer

Generally the diet is protein poor, Hypercalcemia the concern . Pastas and rice bread high in carbs which to normal people is a potential issue

All this of course keeps me temporarily out of trouble

    Adeptly saddened

    wrong thread.
Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false and by rulers as useful.
