Small acts of kindness are all we need, however sometimes we are wrapped in our own bubble and dont notice.

I would hope I'd do the same if I was in this woman's position.

I used to share a flat with a girl who had had some brain surgery to remove a tumour. She had fairly frequent but unpredictable seizures.

I was a student at the time, so spent a lot of time in public spaces, often where she was as well.

Generally, the procedure was to take away any cup or glass she was holding before she spilled it or dropped it, then make a safe place for her to land.

Then fend off all the helpful bystanders who were really trying to help, when all she needed was space and quiet.

A few minutes later it was all over, so I'd ring to cancel the inevitable ambulance (nobody ever listened when told one wasn't needed)

Over time, the seizures became less frequent. I assume she got better. We were flatmates, not particularly friends. Didn't keep in touch. In fact, I can't even remember her name.
