Ohhhh memories flooding back the Hovis advert is back the classic bike ride, never liked the bread but loved the advert...Great local colliery band have redone the sound track based on the version they did 40 or so years ago, I miss flying down a pit heap on a tin tray covered in coal dust with big smile on my face, if not doing that scouring the back yards for decent set of pram wheel to make a bogie.

    Happy Days

In the early 80's during a short period of unemployment ,I hitch hiked and walked the Pembrokeshire coast for a week.
Turning for home in Nott'm I was given a lift from Haverfordwest to Leominster by the producer of the iconic Hovis ads. Very interesting bloke.
In Leominster I got a lift from a Brummie auto-electrician,20 yrs in Belgium with his wife and kids in what I now realise was a huge A class.
Was given the front passenger seat and cold beers until Shrewsbury where I jumped off.A great day on the thumb.
