    One for the bikers

I thought I would share this as there are lots of bikers on here. I've just restored my oldish and previously very battered (1999) Honda CRM250 ready for the IOM classic TT later in the year. I'm meeting up with a few friends to watch the racing and we will also explore the wonderful off road trails in the Island. I'm sure the bike won't be looking as good afterwards but the poor thing needed a bit of loving care to be sure it wouldn't let me down. It seemed a shame not to make it look pretty as the same time. It feels a lot more spritely now the engine is back to A1 condition and now starts easily Being a good old fashioned 2 stroke it is light, has 40 bhp and is tuned for bottom and midrange grunt so is a blast on (and off) the road.

Looks cracking that. I would love one of them. I had an old DT 250 trail bike when I was at college once. Bought it for the summer for £150 and went all over on it. First day back at college it got nicked.

I loved the old Yamaha DT's but I went for the CRM as it has a disk brake that actually stops you! Don't hang about if you do want one. Prices for all 2 stroke bikes appear to be headed rapidly upwards at the moment!

A proper smoker. Grew up on motocross bikes mostly YZs. Tyres would be the only thing I would change on your bike and maybe an FMF pipe. 👍

Fortunately, I have a second set of wheels with reasonable knobblies that I will use for the IOM. I already found out on snow that the tyres on the bike in the picture are useless off road :-) An FMF would be nice but it already has far more power than I can use!

Wouldn't mind going to that, I've just looked at a ferry to IOM, How much are you paying , it looks extortionate!
