Or mongrels as I prefer to call them.

Talking to a guy today who is buying a Labrador crossed with a Spaniel or Spandor as he called it. Are you sure it's not called a Labiel said I. Quick as a flash he replied, they would be pussies not dogs.
The best thing about motorhoming? It's harder for relatives to visit a moving target.

Some friends down in Cornwall have a neighbour with a french bulldog crossed with a shitzu, they call it a shibull, the others call it a bullsh*t, still a mongrel though. We know someone with a pedigree cockerpoo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's a blasted mongrel. Our Ben was a cross between a labrador and alsation, a mongrel, but these days may well have been a pedigree something

Was Ben an Alsador, or was it a Labation?

    Pedigree Cockerpoo

A woman who was waxing lyrical about her Cockerpoo asked sneeringly "whats that" pointing at our mutt Bracken. "It's a Latvian Goat Herder, quite rare these days and very expensive" says I. You could almost hear her thoughts on how she could acquire such a rare and expensive beast, to get one up on her friends!

Our Roxxy is a Sprollie, Springer Spaniel crossed with a Border Collie

Pepper was a Belgian Shepherd crossed with a Doberman, no fancy name for him so a mongrel, still handsome though

I'm just relieved they've started to cross breed dogs again instead of the horrendous inbreeding that's gone on for years with the 'kennel club' or whoever.

Cruelty in the extreme. Poor old bulldogs and pugs - and that's just the obvious ones with inbred illnesses and health problems...

It was nothing to do with the KC Marie. It was owners who did that. The only fault the KC made was not jumping on owners who bred dogs outside of the Breed Standard for that breed.

Agreed . I do think deliberate cross breeds are different from random breeding which , imo , are mongrels . Absolutely nothing wrong with mongrels .
Some of our modernish breeds were created with selected breeding surely ?
