Well done Sir David Attenborough speaking out about single use plastic at glastonbury, Big respect also for the organisers for using other alternatives to plastic, it's a hard nut to crack put we need to start somewhere.

Why cannot someone come up with kit homes made from recycled plastics that dont burn ,bit like the ones after ww2,these could be used for low income young folk just starting out.

Sure i have seen a house built out of plastic bottles on the internet, they pack the bottle with othe plastic rubbish sweet wrappers etc and they are solid. But perhaps not flame retardant. Have found a youtube clip of one project.

Yes almost there, they could easy do a double wall cavity insulated in large full size panels which bolt up to form a 1-2-3-4 bedroom single level home like the german houfhouse which a concrete bed is laid and all built in 3 days.
If the gov had any wit they could rent out to first timmers and at the end of say a 10 year cycle return a third rent to folk to go to a morgage if the kit house is returned in good condition, will they ever ,no mission with our lot.

I watched a program a year or two back where they did this Trev. They made blocks or strips that slotted then bolted together. Light compared to normal stuff but if I remember right it was that reconstituted plywood (donít know proper name) on outsides with plastic filling. Whole section was maybe around 6Ē thick.

It went together quick and easy but obviously there is still the plumbing and electrics to do. If I could drop on a bit of suitable land I would get one of those Hobbit hole houses made from recycled plastic.
