That Third World country we all love to visit had a similar system when I went to the hospital last year. You turn up at the Hospital at 10.30pm on a Saturday night and are given a ticket at reception and told to sit down and watch the various screens located round the large waiting area. Only just sat down and our number popped up on the screen with destination to head for. Arrived at destination saw a Nurse and asked to go back and wait to see Doctor. Sat down and number came up again with different venue. All treated and back to campsite in an hour.

Pity the NHS cannot get its arse into gear. At the moment Doctors seem to be fighting over wether they should be charging for treatment for none Uk patients. I didn't get a treatment number until I had filled in all the relevant forms and shown my EHIC card and they worked out who was paying.

Perhaps they need Boris in charge.

ii remember in a dentist's busy waiting room, the receptionist calling out in a querulous voice '' Mr Nood ?''
there was a brief silence , followed by a lot of strange snorting noises from every corner
    too blessed to be stressed

They will be closing the hospital next saying you might catch a bug.

My bugbear will all these new systems is that I have to get up at 7.30 A.M. to go round to make an appointment because you cannot make any appointments for next day and if you are not there for 8.00 A.M. then the appointments are booked. If you get there for two minutes to 8.00 A.M. then you have to queue as the system cannot take any bookings until 8.00 A.M. exactly - work that one out and this is supposed to be better. For me you see there is only one 7.30 and that is P.M. not an early riser.
