Izzy's cousin moved to a remote cottage in Llanfyllin 12 years ago, he paid 140k for for a large bungalow with an even bigger barn, a 1 acre paddock and a 4 acre field which he rents out to the local farmer.
Cousin demolished two thirds of the bungalow and built a fantastic oak framed extension on the same footprint, this cost him 19k as he did all the work himself
As for the views - they are jaw droppingly, stunningly beautiful and his nearest neighbor is 10 minutes walk away. It feels very remote but an easy drive into Welshpool.

    Good luck with your search.

Llanfyllin is a big busy place it has a shop and everything !

A couple of days ago we had a shooting and now we have a section 60 stop and search in force, London is a nightmare, some of the stabbings and shootings don't even make the local radio stations let alone the TV news.

    The requirements are,

Detached house with three bedrooms, preferably with mains water

    no close neighbors

    some land

outbuildings for at least say six cars, not that I have them but I want the covered indoor space

Cooler in summer, London is too hot

Cancer treatment hospital, I have been trying to find out with mine what is happening since they cancelled my appointment at the check in desk,
for the last ten days I have been trying to get an explanation and another appointment.

Budget 500,000 for any refurbishment and moving costs but of course I would prefer to spend less

You will need webbed feet with the amount of rain they get, and the savings you make on house prices will be swallowed up by the ferry company getting there,
Plus side everyone is very friendly and helpful

Surely Dr. Johnson couldn't be wrong when he sad "When a man is
tired of Londistan he's tired of life etc......for there is in London all that
    life can afford"
If you can manage to avoid a few stabbings, a shooting here and there,
a bit of acid chucking, and the odd car jacking, then Londistan is perfect,
    what's not to like?

Thankfully, biscuits are cheap! 🍪 🤭
The value of a man should be seen in what he gives and not in what he is able to receive.
