Last night on BBC4 I watched the story of Buddy Holly and the Crickets debut rock and roll album in 1957.

For somebody just entering their teens it was a great time to be around.

Her Ladyship wanted to watch Celebrity Gogglebox so I missed that. We did however watch 2 hours of Roy Orbison from 10 pm to Midnight.

Matron had probably tucked you in by then Dexy.

Never a fan of Roy Orbison at the time however I did enjoy the documentary along with the music.

I have told you before young man that what happens when matron and I enter my bedroom is of no concern of yours.

However rest assured that despite her age she maintains the very highest ethical standards and wears her uniform at all times.

I'm having An evening on Jango Online Radio, after a hectic social whirl day.
Streaming a thread based on Cat Stevens.. Wide range..
    Brought up some pearlers
Billy Joel, Beach Boys,God only knows, amongst other tracks that we'd never consider choosing.
And Amazon are trying to get me to pay 15+ per month for the same.. They try to make it difficult to log on.. But I know how to get round it.. Har har !

That Beach Boys track is the one Mrs Maingate and I regard as 'our tune' from the time we first met 53 years ago ... who said Holiday romances don't last?

Perhaps someone should start a thread called Our Tune and see what turns up. I'm not starting a potentially soppy thread, I have a reputation to keep up.

As someone probably in your 70s, reputation isn't necessarily the only thing you're
    hoping to keep up
