    Gatwick 2 hour parking ?

    Hi,

We are collecting my Americanbrotherinlaw and his son who are flying into Gatwick in September.

We are using the Murvi, 2.5 metres height, and will be using the south side parking.

Any particular problems I should be aware of apart from the eye watering parking charges ?

I have been told that its cheaper for 2 hours in the long stay than 2 hours in the short stay ?

Any helpful information from a local yokel would be welcome.

Don't know anything about Gatwick parking, Dezi, but don't most airports have parking facilities for coaches etc.?

They might have something useful about parking on the website - well, you can always hope they do!

There is a charge at East Midlands to drop off and pick up and that is for 10 minutes

London Luton even has cameras on the approach roads to fine you if you try to drop people off without paying.

Use what Marie has given you and check the airports own website for information,

with Gatwick I have always nearly always used a off site car park, but I know they have open air car parks on site as well.

They used to have a summer special car park even during the winter which was reasonable.

Long Stay South....There are no height restrictions for this car park. 17 per day

For dropping off, picking up at Edinburgh, one needs to remortgage!

Thanks young lady, helpful as always.

I had clocked and checked these sites and was just asking if there was anything else I should be aware of as I have not used Gatwick for 20 + years.

    That's an interesting option.
Most airports have very high traffic volumes and short stay parking is priced to put people off.
