The CoPilot offline satnav app has just been updated.

It is now possible to load Wildcamping POI's (and others in OV2 format) directly into CoPilot.
For those of us using CoPilot this now removes the need to use maps.me as well.

    Thanks for the links ...

Importing POIs on Android devices has always been an option, however that was not the case for iOS.

    That's good news

Been using co pilot on android for well over 6 yrs and never had a problem with wild camping poi files you just put them in the save folder within the com.alk.copilot.eumarket.premiumeumaj folder and then start co pilot and it loads them all in for you you need the ov2 file set.

Anyone that has push the limit to see how much a file for Copilot can content?
If i use an ov2 file i get position and name, i can see that if i choose to use csv there is an option to use fields in the file for street and city. That is something i think i will look into more deeply to see if its possible to use those two fields for category and if possible a more detailed description. If someone already tried it out it i am interested to here.

    best regards Joakim

    Hi Guys,

I've just tried the sample POI files in my Android CoPilot App.

It appears to have worked OK, but I get no information on the Map, just the icon and if I touch it I get "LR Stockton Locks."

I realise LR is a rural layby, but should there be other information displayed?

    Regards,

    Paul

That is all I would expect ...

If you want to see the extended information, including for example Google Streetview links, you will need to install maps.me and make use of the Google Earth KML file.

    Details can be found here:

Using POI kml files with Maps.me - Maps with me.

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for the info, I wasn't sure what I should see.

I'll try your suggestion and see how I get on.

    Thanks again,

    Paul
