This lovely pub is converted from a village school, and retains a lot of character. It has a good sized car park, with only very slight traffic noise from the cross-roads. The Manager was happy to let us stay overnight. The pub gets very full. Even at 5:30pm on a Sunday, there were only a couple of tables free! The food was somewhat expensive, but excellent - especially the sea bass stuffed with prawns and chorizo, although it sounds a strange mix.
The pub is very convenient for Cholmondeley Castle grounds, which holds many events (a car show on the day we were there)

Cholmondeley Arms, Wrenbury Road, Malpas, Cheshire, SY14 8HN.

We know it well and have stayed overnight B&B, the rooms are very French provincial and not too expensive, cracking breakfast too.
When I was younger I felt like a man trapped inside a woman’s body. Then I was born.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've added it to the Pub Stop POIs
