Are you sure Rob? We only have five pubs in the town centre, I'm hoping that they have enough beer for you!!
I could always tell them that you are coming, I suppose.

    That's ok Roger.

If they run out, I'll get stuck into Jim's stash of Speckled Hen.
God bless Colonel Sanders. Marvellous man!

Every year, here in my home town of Attleborough, we have an Annual Carnival coupled with a Party in the Park.
The party has live music of various kinds and can generally be heard all over the town.
We have an opportunity to hold a small Meet, behind the Community Centre, adjacent to the Party Field, limiting our numbers to around a dozen vans, maybe fifteen at a push.

We would be situated about 100 yards from the Railway Station, which would be ideal for any members wishing to visit the fine city of Norwich or perhaps pay a visit to 'Walmington on Sea' which in reality is of course Thetford, as long as you 'don't tell 'em your name Pike'!

    The address for the Meet is;
    Connaught Hall
    Station Road
    Attleborough
    Norfolk NR17 2AP

    GPS Co-ordinates; N52.516122 E001.021374

We will be camping on the grassed area behind the hall, which will be right on the fringe of the festivities and will have space to put chairs out and light a firepit.

Arriving on the Thursday, the Community Centre would be happy to open the Bar for us, while Friday could be spent around town, with all the usual Retail Therapy opportunities and many places to eat and drink.

Sat evening sees the start of the festivities which goes on quite late, with an after party party starting at 11pm in a local bar.
Sunday, it's the turn of the Carnival procession, which will take us back to the Party field, for an afternoon of various displays such as falconing etc.

If you are not happy with loud noises, fun and frivolity late into the night, then this is possibly not for you, but if you are game for a pleasant few 'anything goes' days in Norfolk, then please let me know.
Although dogs are welcome, they are not allowed on the Party Field, having said that, it's not too far to walk to the old Gaymers Meadow, which used to be the orchard supplying apples for Gaymers Cider. (We have one of the old cider apple trees in our back garden).

Connaught Hall is run as a charity and are asking for a donation of 5 per van per night.

Fresh water will be available, via an outside tap, and cassette disposal will be by lifting a drain cover.

If anyone else would like to come along, we have enough space for at least another four (maybe more) vans.

    Carrot Crunchers.
